1998 Savage Macht 12 Amplifier

The Savage Macht 12 is a single-ended, Class-A boutique tube amplifier in a 1-12" combo configuration. This particular one includes NOS JAN Philips/Sylvania 6V6GT power tubes in the power section. The preamp tubes are the stock Sovteks.

This amp features an all-tube, hand-wired design with top quality components and transformers. Please click on the pictures below for detailed versions of the photos.

To give an idea of just what this amp sounds like, I made some quick recordings in a few styles and included MP3 links, below. All samples were recorded with a MIJ Fender Tele using an Audio Technica AT825 Stereo Condenser Microphone plugged directly into a Marantz PMD670 Digital MP3 Recorder:
Title.MP3 Link
"Lazy" riff (Clean setting)   Clean.mp3 (1.3 MB)
Tremolo Setting #1   Tremolo.mp3 (1.4 MB)
Blues riff (Amp at full volume, guitar starts at half-volume)   FullVolume.mp3 (1.3 MB)
Tremolo Setting #2   Tremolo2.mp3 (1.9 MB)
